This post is about a tool from the T3PP results from our class.
What is Class Dojo?
Class Dojo is a classroom tool that helps with classroom management, behavior tracking, and parent involvement. It connects teachers, parents, and students through point systems.
Ease of Use
Class Dojo is very user-friendly. Teachers can easily set up classes, manage points, and communicate with the parents. There are also tool kits, such as a timer and randomizer, to help with day-to-day activities. Parents and students can easily set up accounts to monitor points and parents can communicate with the teacher through the app.
Versatility
Class Dojo is a versatile tool that teachers, students, and parents can use. It can be used for communication, classroom management, and with student portfolios. It uses a points system to help with student behavior and each day it starts fresh.
Use in the Classroom
Class Dojo is definitely something I would use in my own classroom. As a parent, I have used it with my own children. I enjoy being able to see how my child is doing in real-time and get updates with the click of a button.
Connection
Class Dojo can be tied to the 7 Events, #5, Eliciting the Desired Behavior. It is used to help monitor classroom behavior, and it aims to target the good behaviors.

I agree that the real-time updates are one of the best parts, it really helps keep everyone on the same page about what’s happening in the classroom. I also like how you tied it to Event #5, Eliciting the Desired Behavior, because it shows how the point system can be used in a positive and intentional way. It’s great that you’ve experienced it from a parent’s perspective too, that makes your insight even more meaningful. This seems like a tool that can really help build strong communication and support positive behavior.
