What is Skyward?
Skyward is an information portal for teachers, parents, and students to access student data. This includes grades, attendance, schedules, and balances.
Ease of Use
Skyward is generally easy to use. Some reviews say that it is tricky until it has been used for a while. The app allows parents to check grades, schedules, attendance, and balances on the go. For teachers, the input of information is quick and can save time with parent communication.
Versatility
Skyward is versatile in the fact that it allows parents to check everything and communicate with the teacher all on one platform. Skyward can also be used for district items, such as financial purposes and human resources.
Use in the Classroom
If Skyward is offered by my district, then there is a chance I will use Skyward to keep parents up to date on the happenings with their student. It is also something I could forego, since most districts have a page they can get this information from.
Connection
Skyward can be tied to TLC: C (communication). This is a communication-based app, allowing for communication between the teacher and the parents.
Hi Tiffany!
ReplyDeleteSkyward is so easy to navigate and is an amazing tool not just for teachers but for parents as well. I remember using Skyward at my school and every parent had their students log in information. It was just easier for parents to monitor their students grades. Great job!
